FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW

In Romans 13:8-10, Paul shares a powerful message, stating that all of the law is wrapped up in loving our neighbors as ourselves; love is the fulfillment of the law.

Love for each other is the true fulfillment of God’s Law.

Genuine, biblical love goes deeper than our feelings.

It’s an active choice to refuse to hurt, exploit, or harm another.

For with love, there is no harm.

Jesus said that love alone

is all that we should owe.

Then He showed us on the cross,

He loved us as His own.

He bore every transgression.

Paid for every sin.

Suffered so that we would know,

God’s love fulfilled through Him.

Every commandment written,

proclaimed with just one breath,

When He said above all things,

Love your neighbor as yourself.

For love can cause no harm.

Love doesn’t rest in anger.

Love crosses every barrier,

and covers every stranger.

To love is to keep Christ,

At the center of it all.

Love is our greatest calling,

and the fulfillment of God’s Law.
