KNOWING JESUS

Knowing the Law and knowing Jesus are two different things.

I’ve always known what sin is. I’ve sinned anyway.

Until I knew Jesus, sin won.

Knowing Christ means sin no longer wins.

A Poem inspired by John 1:17

The Law was given through Moses.

Grace and Truth

are revealed through Christ.

God wrote the Law to guide us.

Christ came to bring New Life.

God restored through Jesus,

All that we had lost.

The chains that separated

were broken by the Cross.

The Law had been our guardian.

Our anchor in the wait.

We are sanctified in Christ

and justified by Faith.

From the Rock flowed Living Water,

That washed away our sin.

Salvation granted when we bow,

and commit our lives to Him.

The Law given by Moses

Instructs us how to live.

But the sacrifice of Jesus

Reminds us we are His.

That all along God’s purpose,

was to lead us from temptation.

That by His stripes we would receive,

His Mercy and Redemption.

The grave had stood between us,

until our Savior came,

to conquer death and restore life,

When we believe in Him.
