BECOMING LIKE JESUS

According to Paul, godliness has value not just for this life, but also for the life to come.

Pursuing godliness doesn’t earn us heaven, but it does help us to become more like Jesus.

And even though it isn’t easy, we must choose it anyway.

Because our hope isn’t found in the world.

It’s found in Him.

A poem inspired by 1 Timothy 4:10.

should be our highest goal.

To love as He loves.

Give as He gives.

To obey our Father’s Word.

Following Jesus

should be our highest calling.

To live as He lived.

Forgive as He does.

To minister to the falling.

Trusting Jesus

should be our highest purpose.

To walk as He walked,

humble and gracious.

To shine a light into the darkness.

Pursuing godliness

should be all that we desire.

To continue growing.

Seeking His presence.

To become servants who inspire.

The value of godliness isn’t easy.

It doesn’t earn us Heaven,

But it is the pathway to salvation,

and to the glory of His kingdom.
