You don’t have to be perfect to approach the cross.
You only have to accept Christ as your Savior, believe that He died for you, and repent.
Christ has already done the rest.
Isaiah 53:5
Approach, approach,
the Cross of Grace.
Look upon His holy face.
His blood-stained cheeks,
a crown of thorns.
Look upon our
Savior’s wounds.
The sins He bears,
are yours and mine.
He became our sacrifice.
Do not turn or hide your face.
Look upon the Cross of Grace.
The One you see is God’s own Son.
His love poured out for each of us.
Approach, approach,
the Cross of Grace.
At His feet lay all your shame.
Meet His eyes and truly see,
that by His stripes,
You are set free.
The Lamb of God,
who gave His life.
He became your sacrifice.
Do not turn or hide your face.
Look upon the Cross of Grace.
The One you see is God’s own Son.
His love poured out for each of us.
He bore our sins.
He bears the scars.
All for love upon the Cross.
He died our death.
Conquered the grave.
The Lamb of God,
who came to save.
