GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT

God gave us the Holy Spirit to guide, protect, and to provide us with the gifts we’d need to fulfill His purpose in our lives.

The gifts we receive from the Holy Spirit vary from person to person. However, they come from the same source: the Spirit of God that dwells within us. They’re not meant for personal gain or to be used selfishly. Instead, they’re meant to inspire us to serve one another, to bear witness to the reality of the Gospel, and to advance the kingdom of God on earth.

May we strive daily to use our spiritual gifts to bring glory and honor to God, to be His hands and feet, and to proclaim our faith and His goodness in all we say and do. Amen.

Manifestations of the SPIRIT,

come from ABOVE, 

clothing us in MERCY,

TEMPERANCE, and LOVE.

To one HE has given,

the WISDOM of WORDS,

filling them with KNOWLEDGE,

that transcends the world.

To one HE imparted,

the gift of blind FAITH,

to another the power,

to HEAL in HIS NAME.

Another works MIRACLES,

reviving the fallen,

while another inspires,

through PROPHECIES spoken.

In one HE instilled,

the talent of DISCERNMENT,

the means to interpret,

the GIFTS of the SPIRIT.

One speaks in TONGUES,

singing songs filled with PRAISE,

while another INTERPRETS,

the works of HIS GRACE.

But the SPIRIT that gives,

is the same ONE HE PROMISED,

sent to ENCOURAGE,

PROTECT and DEFEND us.

The GIFTS of the SPIRIT,

TRANSFORM from within,

so that all that we are,

brings HONOR to HIM.
