SEEKING GOD’S KINGDOM

Matthew 33:6 assures us that by seeking God’s kingdom and His righteousness, all of our needs will be met.

The Sermon on the Mount is one of the most important passages in the Gospels. In it, Jesus tells us to prioritize our relationship with God and trust in His provision for our needs. Specifically, Christ tells us that by seeking God’s kingdom and His righteousness above all else, we can be assured that our needs will be met.

Seeking God First

The Sermon on the Mount conveys why Christ came into this world. In His own words, Jesus gave us the map to everlasting life. He also gave us the words with which to pray to our Father in Heaven. Moreover, He instructs us in what it means to fulfill our responsibilities as Christians and how to live lives that are pleasing to God so that we’re worthy of eternal life.

May we strive daily to live as Jesus instructs us. First, seeking God’s kingdom and righteousness above all else, trusting in His faithful provision, and living without anxiety about the future. Amen.

Living in obedience to God requires SURRENDER, TRUST, and FAITH.

To truly know LOVE,

you must love first.

To be FORGIVEN,

you must forgive.

To be granted GRACE,

first grace must flow.

To know COMPASSION,

it must first grow.

To grow in FAITH,

faith must take root.

To grow in WISDOM,

you must seek TRUTH.

To prosper in STRENGTH,

you must go to the source.

To cultivate HOPE,

you must plant it first.

To abide in PEACE,

you must let go.

To truly be FREE,

you have to BELIEVE.
