IN THE SHELTER OF YOUR WINGS

The LORD is our shelter and refuge forever. His grace delivers us from darkness. His faithfulness does not end.

Addiction is a battle for your soul. It’s drowning you in darkness and deceit. The lies it tells you are no match for God’s power and truth. He is your only shelter. The peace you’re longing for can only be found in the shadow of His wings.

God’s lovingkindness is unmatched. 

God’s love is not based on merit or deserving, it’s freely given and complete. He loves you despite your past and the sins you’ve committed. He does not want to lose you. He’s longing for you to turn to Him. Let Him take your burdens and break the chains binding you in darkness. He will not turn away. When you reach for Him, He’ll welcome you with arms wide open. 

The depth and breadth of God’s love for you are immeasurable. In the shelter of His mighty wings, you’ll find refuge. He alone is the author of your days and the light in the darkness you’re drowning in. Peace and freedom are waiting. You have only to reach out, and He will meet you where you are.

God is protective and nurturing. 

Seeking refuge in God is an act of surrender and trust. It’s an acknowledgment of your vulnerability and an acceptance of His protective embrace. God is faithful and reliable. He keeps His promises. He is your shield and buckler, defending and strengthening you against the darkness. 

Do not allow shame and doubt to prevent you from reaching for Him. Your fears, your past, and your addiction are no match for His faithfulness. His power is infinite. His mercy is unfailing. He will not forsake you. You are His precious child, created in His image, and worthy of His love. The second you surrender, He will meet you where you are.

God is forgiving and just.

Addiction is locking you in darkness. The bondage and spiritual death holding sway over you cannot defeat the power of God’s love or the forgiveness found in His Son. Surrender is the doorway out of the darkness and into the light of Christ for all who believe. 

Through Christ’s loving sacrifice, you’re already forgiven. In death, He bore your transgressions. His resurrection defeated the darkness forever. His light overpowers the guilt, shame, and the sin holding you captive. The instant you believe, He will meet you where you are.

Addiction is a battle for your soul. 

It’s also a battle you cannot win without God. Peace, protection, and the power of forgiveness are waiting in the shelter of His wings. I pray you find the courage needed to reach for the freedom you’re longing for. Freedom is found in God alone. Faith is calling you. Will you answer?

IN THE SHELTER OF YOUR WINGS

I came to You,

with my life in pieces.

You reached out,

with healing in Your hands.

I turned to You,

and You did not forsake me.

You gave me strength,

so I could finally stand.

Wrapped in Your grace,

covered in Your mercy,

You filled my heart

with the beauty of Your peace.

You took my shame,

offered me salvation.

Granting the forgiveness

that finally set me free.

I came to you,

darkness all around me.

You lit the way,

so I could finally see.

The walls I’d built

crumbled in Your presence.

Despite my past,

Your love still shelters me.

You are my God,

the Author of my purpose.

My unrelenting Fortress,

the One who stands for me.

Overcome,

I glorify Your goodness.

In grateful adoration, 

I fall upon my knees.

For all You are,

and all that You have given,

I praise Your lovingkindness

and the power of Your name.

YOU ARE MY GOD,

MY STRENGTH AND MY PROTECTOR.

I FIND MY REST AND SHELTER,

IN THE SHADOW OF YOUR WINGS.
