A PRAYER FOR THE LOST

You will NEVER win your battle over darkness without God.

You have to be brave enough to let God hold you. To trust in Him when you’ve lost your ability to trust. Give Him your fear, anger, doubt, and shame when you’ve held on so tightly to them for so long. In short, you have to WANT freedom and peace more than you want anything else. Most importantly, you have to surrender, not to the world or an abstract higher power, but to THE Higher Power.

You’ll NEVER win your battle over darkness without God. God is the ONLY way to healing, and His Son, Jesus Christ, is the ONLY way to salvation. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY.

God is the ONLY way to healing and peace. 

There’s nothing on earth, above or below it, more powerful than God. He’s more powerful than your greatest fears, your deepest sorrows, and everything standing between you and freedom, including your addiction.

God has promised to be your guide throughout your life. When you come to Him, He opens His arms. When you place your burdens in His hands, He takes them and shows you the way to go. He never forsakes you. His guidance and protection are eternal.

God’s faithfulness is timeless. His love for you is not bound by time or circumstance. He’s your hope and comfort. No matter how lost you feel or what challenges you face, He’s with you, standing in the gap. He remains steadfast even unto death. You can trust in His faithfulness and wisdom to guide you to healing, freedom, and peace. 

Faith in Jesus is the ONLY way to salvation.

Jesus’ crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension to Heaven prepared a place for you, for all of us, in the presence of God. How we spend eternity depends on how we live our lives. If we place our faith in Christ, keep His word, and follow His example, we’ll be reunited with Him. That is the promise of salvation.

Hearing Jesus’ words means not only receiving them, it means receiving them with an open heart and a readiness to embrace and live them. Jesus lived His life in obedience to God, trusting His promises, and fulfilling His purpose. That is His example. An example we are called to emulate. That means letting go and letting God.

Believing in “Him who sent Me” means believing in God and that He sent His Son to redeem us. It’s through Christ that the lost are found. Your hope, healing, and life in eternity are through Jesus’ sacrifice and ultimate victory over sin and death. It’s through your faith in Christ that you are saved.

A Prayer for the Lost

A prayer for the misguided,

too wrapped up in the world,

to hear Your voice.

Too filled with pride,

to make the choice,

to follow You.

A prayer for the lost,

too focused on self,

to open their hearts.

Too filled with doubt,

to even start,

their journey to You.

A prayer for the suffering,

too lost in darkness,

to seek Your light.

too filled with shame,

to even fight,

for Your mercy and grace.

A prayer for the dying,

who’ve turned away,

from Your gift of peace.

So lost in fear,

they no longer believe,

in Your faithfulness.

A prayer for the empty,

too filled with derision,

to open their eyes.

Too blinded by hatred,

to even try,

to know the Truth.

Lord, bless the misguided

with Your wisdom and grace.

Open their hearts to Your 

presence and peace.

Guide the lost,

to the foot of the Cross.

To the Salvation offered,

through Your Son’s sacrifice.

Comfort the suffering,

and open their eyes,

to the Light of Truth,

and the Freedom inside.

Reach for the dying,

who’ve turned away,

plant in their souls,

the seeds of Faith.

Fill their emptiness,

with Your abiding love.

Grant them humility,

to believe and trust,

in the enduring nature,

of Your Graciousness. 

and the infinite promise,

of Your Faithfulness.
