The divine love of God is everlasting. It surpasses our understanding, just as His faithfulness and grace do.
God’s divine love is not forced or coerced; it’s freely given, just as His compassion and care for us are freely given. We’re called to love one another as God loves us. Can you imagine the world if we put that into practice? What a beautiful place that would be!

God’s divine love is enduring, despite our failures.
God is the source of forgiveness. When He forgives, He does so completely, leaving no trace of our transgressions. God forgives not because we deserve it, but because of His loving nature. God’s forgiveness is complete. Once given, our sins are truly washed away, and we can walk in freedom and the newness of life.
It’s through God’s grace and mercy that He sent Jesus to restore and reconcile us to Himself. His promise to forgive and restore us, even though we’ve sinned against Him, is salvation.

Christ’s divine love reconciled us to God.
Jesus was without sin, but took upon Himself the sins of humanity, dying on the cross. He bore the full weight and consequences of sin in our place so that we might receive the gift of eternal grace through Him. It’s through Christ alone that God reconciles the world to Himself. Through Christ’s sacrifice, we find forgiveness, redemption, and salvation. We’re clothed in the righteousness of Christ, standing before God as if we’ve never sinned.
Through Christ, we have direct access to God.
Jesus understands our weakness because He experienced the full range of human suffering and temptation, though He was without sin. Therefore, we can come to Him without fear of rejection or condemnation, knowing that He has compassion for our struggles. As fallen creatures, we’re in constant need of God’s mercy and grace. Our Heavenly Father is willing and able to provide them abundantly.
God works in the circumstances of our lives to strengthen our faith and to deepen our dependence upon Jesus. We can look to Jesus every moment of our lives, as He is our ever-present help in times of trouble. He is not only the God of tomorrow’s promises, but the One who is with us through all the changing seasons of life.
Jesus’ power extends beyond the boundaries of our earthly existence, offering the promise of eternal life to all who have faith in Him. Even in the face of death and despair, faith in Christ brings hope. Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. It’s in Him that we find salvation and the Life we’re searching for. There’s no life after death apart from Jesus, and there’s no life before death apart from Him.
DIVINE LOVE
DIVINE LOVE CAME DOWN,
AND SHATTERED DEATH’S STRONGHOLD.
VANQUISHING THE DARKNESS,
SIN BROUGHT INTO THE WORLD.
O, BLESSED BE OUR SAVIOR,
WHO CAME TO SET US FREE.
HE BROKE THE CHAINS,
CONQUERED THE GRAVE,
GAVE ALL FOR YOU AND ME.
DIVINE LOVE CAME DOWN,
TO FULFILL THE FATHER’S PLAN.
SAVING ALL CREATION,
BY STRETCHING OUT HIS HANDS.
O, BLESSED BE OUR SAVIOR,
WHO CAME TO SET US FREE.
HE BROKE THE CHAINS,
CONQUERED THE GRAVE,
GAVE ALL FOR YOU AND ME.
DIVINE LOVE CAME DOWN,
AND ROSE UP FROM THE GRAVE.
FREEING ALL THE CAPTIVES,
ANOINTING US WITH GRACE.
O, SEE THE MARKS HE BORE FOR US.
THE SINLESS LAMB OF GOD.
WITH LOVE DIVINE HE STOOD BETWEEN,
DARKNESS AND MANKIND.
O, BLESSED BE OUR SAVIOR,
WHO CAME TO SET US FREE.
HE BROKE THE CHAINS,
CONQUERED THE GRAVE,
GAVE ALL FOR YOU AND ME.
