Redemption is a promise that even in the face of our failures, God’s unconditional love and grace are always available to us.
The book of Isaiah has been called the “Fifth Gospel” for a reason. It focuses on God’s promise of redemption and the coming Messiah who would fulfill His promise.
Isaiah’s words offered God’s people hope and reassurance, even in the face of their transgressions. It gives us the same hope and assurance because we KNOW God’s promise has been fulfilled. John 3:16 tells us, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Redemption is an act of Divine Love.
Divine is God’s overwhelming love for us. It is through God’s love that redemption entered the world. It entered in the person of Jesus Christ, who was Himself, spotless, blameless, and without sin.
Christ offered Himself as the living sacrifice for our sins. He bore our transgressions, suffered in our place, died, and rose again to free us from the darkness and death that sin brought into the world.
Jesus took the punishment that WE deserve. He is the perfect embodiment of God’s divine love for His creation. For love is why Jesus came, the reason He died, and why He rose again.
Redemption is a gift available to all.
God wants us to repent and return to Him.
To receive this gift, we have only to believe in Jesus, who fulfilled God’s promise, becoming the symbol of hope and redemption for all who embrace Him through faith.
Christ’s forgiveness is thorough and complete, leaving no trace of the transgressions that have been forgiven. For it is faith in Christ alone that leads to salvation and the redeeming grace He died to grant us.
We are called by God, our Father, to repent and return to Him, for His promise has been fulfilled; He has already redeemed us.
Redeeming Grace
Like a flood,
Your Mercy rains.
Unending Love,
removed my shame.
Your Grace abounds,
and covers me.
No longer chained,
You set me free.
My past is gone,
my sins erased.
Salvation born,
to take their place.
Reconciled,
You welcome me,
and fill my soul
with unending Peace.
Like a flood,
Your Mercy rains.
Defeating death,
You took my place.
Unending Love,
opened the gates.
New Life bestowed.
Redeeming Grace.
