YOU ALWAYS STAY THE SAME

No matter how far we stray from Him, Jesus remains the same. His faithfulness and compassion are unchanging and His love abides in us forever.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever, Hebrews 13:8.

I know this. He was there when I reached for Him in the darkness. Most importantly, He was there when I fell to my knees in surrender. He lifted and carried me out of the wilderness of addiction and shame. He covered me with grace and mercy. For He’d been there all along. Waiting for me to turn to Him. To lay my burdens at His feet. To trust Him and to know — He’d already paid the price for my salvation. However, He needed me to believe, to call on Him, and to follow where He led me.

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13.

God’s love is boundless and free for all who earnestly seek it. If we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, we will be saved. For that reason, calling upon the Name of the Lord is an act of faith and surrender. It’s an acknowledgment of God’s authority over us and a plea for His mercy and salvation.

When we call upon Him, God answers. He delivers and restores us no matter who we are or what has come before. That’s the beautiful gift of salvation Jesus purchased for us on the cross. As unworthy as we are, God never turns away.

“Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof; only say the word and my servant will be healed,” Matthew 8:8.

The universal truth of Jesus’ ministry is salvation and healing for all. Because, Christ doesn’t see the color of our skin or the magnitude of our sins. He sees into our hearts. Just as the centurion acknowledged His unworthiness that Jesus should enter his home, he also professed his profound faith. He believed that Jesus’ words alone would heal.

By the same token, we are all unworthy of Christ’s healing, but He heals us anyway. He welcomes us all to the table. Because, His compassion and love know no boundaries. We are called to believe, to have faith, to trust that His word alone is indeed enough.

As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us, Psalm 103:12.

God’s forgiveness is complete and absolute, leaving no trace of our transgressions. His mercy transcends all human understanding, and His forgiveness knows no limits. His faithfulness and compassion are unchanging and His love abides in us forever. Therefore, all praise, honor, and glory be to the Lord, our God. His MERCY, LOVE, and FORGIVENESS are eternal. Amen.

YOU ALWAYS STAY THE SAME

I am a sinner, Lord,

unworthy of forgiveness,

yet, You forgive me anyway.

I am selfish, Lord,

unworthy of Your mercy,

yet, You grant me mercy still.

I am weak, Lord,

unworthy of Your strength,

yet, You fight for me anyway.

I am fearful, Lord,

unworthy of Your peace,

and yet, You grant me peace.

I am unworthy of Your sacrifice,

of the price You paid for me,

and yet, You paid it anyway.

You never turn away.

You always stay the same.

I am unfaithful, Lord,

unworthy of Your blessings,

and yet, You grant them anyway.

I suffer from doubt and shame,

unworthy of Your grace,

and yet, You cover me in grace.

I run ahead of You, Lord,

unworthy of Your patience,

and yet, Your love remains.

You never turn away.

You always stay the same.

I question You, Lord,

unworthy of the miracles,

You bestow upon me still.

I turn from You, Lord,

unworthy of Your presence,

that never turns from me.

I am undeserving, Lord,

of Your unfailing love,

and yet You love me still.

I am unworthy of You, Lord.

Yet, You never turn away.

You always stay the same.

You reach for me when I falter.

Come for me when I stray.

You stand for me when I stumble.

Listen when I pray.

You guide me when I’m blinded.

Answer when I call.

You shelter me through every storm.

Lift me when I fall.

Your faithfulness is constant.

Your presence never fades.

You never turn away from me.

You always stay the same.

I am unworthy, Lord,

but long to be made worthy still.

To have Faith that when You say the words,

my brokenness is healed.

Please help me to surrender, Lord,

remove all that hinders me,

from the Life You willingly purchased when,

You suffered and died for me.

AMEN.
