In times of trouble, God calls us to lean on Him. Do not despair, for He is with us.
In the world, we will have troubles. We will face fear and experience heartache and pain. We will know despair and, at times, feel helpless.
Scripture reminds us again and again that God knows our struggles just as He knows our hearts. There is nothing in this world greater than His love for us. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me,” Psalm | 23:4.
Today, we are faced with many struggles. There is evil at every turn. That is the nature of evil after all. Above all else, it seeks to undermine faith and destroy our souls.
However, God does not abandon us in our time of need. Through faith, we are assured of His power. Through His Son, Jesus Christ, He has conquered sin and death. “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed,” 1 Peter | 2:24.
Therefore, take comfort in knowing that in God, there is no room for fear. There is nothing on earth, neither above nor below it, greater than Him. No matter what we face, or how dark it seems at times, He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Do not despair. For through Him, with Him, and in Him, we will overcome.
