In the world today, truth as an absolute is considered to be non-existent. The world’s definition of truth is flexible and therefore fallible. More importantly, the world’s view of truth doesn’t require FAITH.

God is Truth
Among the definitions listed for truth in Merriam-Webster are (a) the body of real things, events, and facts; (b) a judgment, proposition, or idea that is true or accepted as true; and (c) sincerity in action, character, and utterance. While these are all perfectly good definitions, the one thing they have in common is this, they’re all open to interpretation.
In the world today, truth as an absolute is considered to be either relative or non-existent altogether. Perhaps because the world’s definition of truth is flexible and therefore fallible.
More importantly, The world’s view of truth doesn’t require faith. We can choose to believe or not. We can contradict it, offer our own truth, or simply ignore it. While the ramifications of denial may affect us in a worldly way, politically, socially, economically, etc., they also affect us spiritually. In fact, Scripture teaches us that peace, spiritual or otherwise, is not found in the world, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world,” (John 16:33).
So, what is spiritual truth, or more specifically, biblical truth? Does it exist? Yes, and it exists in God Himself. GOD IS TRUTH. Everything that comes from God is truth. His word made manifest in Jesus brought truth into the world. Standing before Pilot, Jesus explained, “The reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth,” (John 18:37). Quite simply, Jesus is the revelation of God in human flesh. He is the embodiment of truth in human flesh.

Jesus is “the way,” to God. Not one of the ways, He is the only way.
Jesus’ birth, life, and death confirm the absolute truth of God. Through His life, Jesus spoke and taught the truth. Through His sacrifice, He conquered death and opened the gates of Heaven so that all who believe in Him might enter into eternal life.
Thus, when the Bible speaks of truth, it describes what is authoritative and absolute. Here, there is nothing relative about truth because ultimately all truth is God’s truth. God’s truth is absolute. Without God, there can be no absolutes.
As Christians, we are called to apply God’s absolute truth to our lives. How do we do this? By following His commandments. By placing our lives and our beings in His care. By trusting Him. By ensuring our thoughts, our words, and our deeds are in service to Him, rather than to the world.
Most importantly, we answer God’s call by bringing people to Jesus, who is truth.
This world is always changing.
As humans, we’re fickle beings.
We ebb and flow with the currents,
in service to our own feelings.
But, there’s a tide unchanging.
A wave of unbreakable TRUTH.
No matter how we twist it,
its bindings don’t come loose.
TRUTH is unrelenting.
It’s undaunted by our lies.
It remains forever steadfast.
For, it’s not rooted in this life.
It comes from a place of purity,
and embodies the only ONE,
to walk this earth in service,
to the souls of all mankind.
“I am the WAY, the TRUTH, the LIFE.”
These words, in FAITH imparted.
“No one may come to Me,” He said,
“Unless the Father draws Him.”
Yet, still, we go on doubting,
with arrogance and pride,
the ONE who came to save us,
and for our sins to die.
Despite our selfish wanting,
and our foolish, blind conceit,
we hasten to call upon Him,
to lay our burdens at His feet.
And like the tending Shepherd,
He leaves the ninety-nine,
meeting us with unending GRACE,
no matter how far we fall behind.
This world is always changing,
on its foundation made of sand.
A house of cards demolished,
by the slightest gust of wind.
But the ROCK that’s everlasting,
is the SPIRIT placed within,
each and every one of us,
by our Creator’s loving hands.
A SPIRIT of TRUTH that leads to PEACE,
the moment that we know it.
A SPIRIT of STRENGTH that defeats the world,
the moment that we seek it.
Yes, TRUTH remains unbroken,
He gladly points the WAY,
to the fullness of LIFE, He purchased,
when He took up our cross that day.
