These long and broken roads stretch out before us.
The twists and turns so visible now.
The landscape, our cities, and homes, so clearly altered and hurting.
These scars stretch for miles.
Constant and painful reminders of all we lost that day.
That day the winds grew violent.
That day their full and utter fury shattered
the world around us.
We travel carefully, this brutally altered terrain.
We remember. We grieve.
But more than that. We keep moving forward.
Down these long and broken roads.
The only roads we have now.
Their path laid bare before us, pointing unmistakably
and deliberately toward tomorrow.
